This is one of my favorite talks from this spring's Conference. Interesting note: Kenny Rogers sings a song called "The Greatest" that pretty much tells the same baseball story that Elder Martino tells. I didn't know Kenny was so inspired! Ha, ha!
Actually the part that stuck with me the most is when he asks mothers if they would cause pain or bring tears to their children when they have done nothing wrong. "Of course you would.... [ex. immunizations]... A small amount of pain now can protect them from possible pain and suffering in the future."

As you know this is one of my favorite Kenny Rogers songs. The morale of the story...when you do your best and still fall short then at times it is okay to redefine success.
